Let The Fun Begin.  April 18th 2015

It's that time of year again here in the Ville!  Spring comes around quickly, after what seems like a longer than last year winter.   Trees and flowers are blooming, the grass goes from brown to green, with the overhead sounds of planes brings on that familiar spring feeling that we are just weeks away from the kick off the the most exciting two weeks in Louisville Kentucky.

Kentucky Derby Festival April 18th 2015 -  May 2nd 2015

Thunder Over Louisville, on April 18th is the kick off of the two week celebration.  It's an all day family event on the waterfront with food, live music, an airshow, and kids entertainment as well.  Get down to the waterfront as early as you can to get better seating for the airshow and the fireworks display later in the evening.  The airshow starts at 3:00 pm goes for hours with military and civilian acts.  There will also be an appearance by the US Air Force with fighter jets.  We will be fortunate enough to get to see the Thunderbirds acts once again.

All the day festivities lead up to on of the largest annual fireworks displays in all of North America. It  starts at 9:30 and will let off nearly 60 tons of pyrotechnics stretching for nearly an hour.  Don't miss this wonderful Louisville tradition that makes up the best time of year here in the bluegrass.
